The SUP SCHOOL PROJECT is a FUNDRAISING PROJECT to help LOCAL PRIMARY SCHOOLS raise much needed, additional funds, supporting our children's futures.

OUR LATEST STATS

HOW DID IT ALL BEGIN?

As well as a love of good coffee and innovative small businesses, the SUP Foods mobile coffee shops were developed to support our local communities. Our daughter, and chief taste tester, is 6 years old and attends Maidenbower Infants School. As with many public schools in the UK, money is tight and often compromises are having to be made on the resources our children have access to. After attending a talk at the school by headteacher, Mrs Roberts, it was clear that, although a great job was being done with the budget available, it could make good use of any additional funds that could be raised. We had a strange urge to put our hands up there and then to ask how we could help, but we refrained. Instead, we took the information away and thought about how we could maximise our efforts to help.

WHAT DID YOU DO?

We met with Mrs Roberts to discuss the opportunity of taking our POD to the school one afternoon per week, whereby we would donate 10% of sales directly to the school as fundraising.

Mrs. Roberts saw this opportunity as a great one and we were taking our POD to school the following week. With four weeks remaining in the school year, it was a perfect trial period to check that it would work for both parties.

We’re pleased to say that we raised > £80 in those four weeks!

With the trial being deemed a success, we're back at Maidenbower Infant School this academic year with the aim of raising upwards of £500 in the 23/24 academic year.
